Swansea University. He is a professional member of the British Society of
Rheology and of The Institute of Non-Newtonian Fluid Mechanics. His
professional experience includes: employment with the pharmaceutical company
Park-Davies/Warner-Lambert, measurement and prediction of properties of
Engineering Fluids as a Research Officer at the University of Swansea, and work
as an Industrial Liaison Officer undertaking contract research at the Swansea
"Centre for Excellence in Technology and Industrial Collaboration". The work
ranged from advanced Biotechnology to Complex Fluid Mechanics. The Centre
undertakes R&D for small to medium companies in Wales and larger companies
throughout the United Kingdom, and internationally.
Steve has over 20 refereed publications and has presented his work at major

Research Scientist:
Richard Phillips.
Richard studied at Swansea University, where he achieved a first class Masters
degree in Chemistry with an award for best overall performance. He is shortly
to submit for a PhD in Nanotechnology. His work includes developing techniques
for culturing cells for wound healing. He has relevant experience in developing
biomimetic surfaces and antithrombogenic surfaces. Richard has in-depth
knowledge of tools needed for nanotechnology studies. For example, he has
routinely employed Atomic Force Microscopy in his work. In addition to academic
reserach, Richard has gained industrial experience on analytical methods used
within a pharmaceutical company. He combines a Chemistry and Nanotechnology
