Haemair publishes results of blood-treating device

The work showed that potentially harmful components that accumulate during storage of transfusion blood (red cell concentrate, RCC) can be removed without damaging red blood cells. The prospect of further improving the quality of blood transfusion is particularly important for people needing repeated transfusions.
